Now that It Is done - can You Perhaps Add

I noted thatcontests and other info regarding the Ranch is going to be posted in this board. I'm wondering then if a news and contests category should be added so that if people don't have time to read all the other chit chat by the fans, they could at least quickly assess what is new with regard to the latest Ranch news and contests on behalf of the RT Team. It is just a thought. Maybe that category could even be exclusive to the Team only so we could know the latest information just as you have for the news on the blogs.

thanks.

Contests and news in the Message Board

Linda -

There is a separate forum in the Message Board for RandyTravisTeam to post information about news, contests, and other special announcements. It is located here.
Check out the message board - there are all different forums to keep all the chit-chat organized.

Thanks!

Around the Bend CD

This CD may be one of the best Randy has ever recorded. (I own a copy of every CD Randy ever produced.) The lyrics are beautiful, the melodies are wonderful, and of course, Randy still has the best voice in Country music. Randy continues to record "real" Country music, the way it should be recorded - he puts his entire heart and soul into every note he sings. I pray that Randy continues to release many more CDs in the years to come. I can't wait to see Randy on October 15th (my 14th Randy Travis concert), and I may just drive to see him in Las Vegas two day later.

It's a great one , I agree Dave. I also love this CD. And own everyone he has released. (some in duplicate ). As for it being the best he has ever done, it's really hard for me to choose one as his very best. I think every thing Randy releases is a winner, and a sure fire classic.
His " Storms Of Life" istill ranks up there of all his secular albums.

I also loved "Passing Through". I can't help but wonder if it had been released on the WB label (instead from their gospel division) how much more attention , and success it would have had .That album too, is just chucked full of great, great COUNTRY music. "Rise And Shine" another one that is a real stand out in my mind. I hope his next gospel offering is similar to "R&S". He says he wants to be able to alternate albums. Lets hope that he can.

I can't help but scratch my head in bewilderment when the media claims that "Around The Bend" ( I know Randy has also said it) is his first country album in 8 years. When EVERY ALBUM Randy releases is as stone cold country as it can get. Just because the subject matter of the material ( or the label it gets released on) is of a different (religious) nature, doesn't change the fact that it is still being sung in a country style, with traditional country instrumentation to it's production, by a traditional country sounding artists such as Randy. Actually I like Randy's "Heros and Friends" CD the best.

It's hard to pick an absolute favorite. I guess currently it would have to be Around the Bend since I am playing it all the time. I can't seem to get enough of it. I do love Storms of Life and Passing Through. And Glory Train and Rise and Shine. I just love them all.

ATB and Others

It is really hard for me to pick a favorite but if i had to, it may even be Wind in the Wire as it holds a lot of memories for me. Likewise, so does Old 8 x 10. but like ronda, I do love them all.

Heroes and Friends may be my least favorite, actually, because I have this thing where i just want Randy to sing the entire song, not share the vocals. But that's not to say I don't like it. i just want Randy only i guess.
