Mine has shipped

But has yet to arrive. I expect it today or tomorrow at the latest. I tried listening to the cllip on Amazon but couldn't get a feel for it. I remember the song being a hit growing up. I just don't remember who sang it . I want to say one of these Tony Bennett, Perry Como, Bing Crosby, Andy Williams. But it was probably some other pop artist in that era.

Does it give you the orginal artist in the liner notes? Maybe someone can post the info here. I'm probably not even close to who it was, of the men I named. It will bug me until I know who it was. So someone help me out here, so I don't go bonkers trying to remember the right artist.

It was a great song, I do remember that. I am kind of surprised that Imus selected that for Randy being so uncountry as a song can get. I can't wait to hear his intepretation of it. Randy will turn it into a country offering, that I do know. Dee

The song was originally recorded by Gordon Jenkins(never heard of him myself). Then it was also recorded by Perry Como and Charlie Rich.

Thanks Ronda

I never heard of the first guy either. But at least I did name Perry Como in the group that I thought may have been the recording artist. I didn't know that Charlie Rich ( The Silver Haired Fox) as he was known, had recorded it though. I just don't remember it. Though I can clearly see him doing it, as he was much more pop then country I thought. Dee

I don't think it has the original person who recorded it but has the writers (BennieBenjamin/George David Weiss). Then it goes on to say who produceed it(Kyle Lehning and all the people who assisted , the studio in Santa Fe, N.M. and then all the people who played instruments. When you hear this song by Randy you will want to swoon (smile) it is that good. Hope this help if you find out different just let me know. Alfina

Thanks for the info on the artists, producer etc. I'm quite sure I will want to swoon .Randy always makes me swoon. :). It still didn't arrive to day. I checked the tracking via the number and it should arrive tomorrow .
Looking forward to hearing it. I still have a hard time pictureing him singing that song. But i'm sure it is great.

My daughter was listening to one of the country stations on her way to and from the store . She said they were talking about Randy being in Laughlin, this week, and that he is one of the best consert artist out there. Now if they would only play his DTG's I'd be a happy camper. Dee

Randy will be in Las Vegas next month at Texas Station.
