"You never know what the artists are going to reveal to the audience in the course of their conversations. It really allows them to share their personal lives with their fans." Randy will also be performing in the Nightly Concert Series at LP Field on Sunday June 8th. Ticket sugestion
It is probably too early for the tickets for the time frame that you are looking for to go on sale. You can contact the arena he will be appearing, to find out from them when they will go on sale, You may be able to place yourr order then. You can have them hold them at their ticket office or main desk, Pick them up the night of the concert. I've done that on occassion. Or you can have them sent to you via mail. when they go on sale. Some arena's are even allowing you to purchase your ticket by printing them out on line. I've done that last year. Go to his tour page and clink on the show that your wanting to attned it will give you information on when and where you can purchase the tickets for that nights show. Good luck and congratulations on your impending engagement..
another response
I got another response from the radio station after asking how does a song climb the charts if the radio stations don't play it. Here is what I was told.
Thank you Linda, that is a good question. There are several radio stations in the country that generally break new records, by playing and testing them. It is from their research that songs will break the top 40.

Another Response
Surely at least one of those stations is where I live and I haven't been able to get them to play it even once. Every couple of days I will request it. We have 3 country stations in Kansas City. I alternate times and stations so I am not always asking the same dj. I don't know what else to do. It is very frustrating.
Hardly Seems Fair (another Response)
You've got to wonder though when they start some of these things out in just small areas - not all of them but mostly, how the majority still then even get to hear it.
I would think the test areas would be those areas they did the promotional touring in but to my knowledge, other than the day he visited a couple of our stations, not one has played it sense. I can't say that for certain but i know I listened quite a bit after that and never heard it. No one can listen 24/7 even though we might like to.
KIIM out of Tucson, which i posted about just yesterday, was a prime example proving if people could hear it, they probably would like it. It even won the voting for one night and lost by only one vote the following evening; that should say something. At least they played it but this idea of we won't play it until the other guys do just infuriates me. It always has.
How are the people in other areas supposed to hear it if it doesn't get played? I know you all don't have the answers so I'm just venting.
Ronda, there isn't much else we can do but keep doing what we are doing I guess.

Asking for help
OK I thought if I wrote to the radio stations that Randy visited to promote Faith In You that they might be able to help. I wrote to Dan Pantos from 97.1 HANK FM and he emailed me back with this.
Wow....talk about a "long distant" dedication. I'm not sure of their situation out in CT, so I can't really comment on the market. However, I did just take a look at it on the charts as it has gone from 57 back down to 70. With only so many spots for new music it's really hard to justify putting a 70 in front of a 35. But I wouldn't let that discourge anyone as I'm sure his next release off of that album will fair much better. Here's to hoping!
Thanks for the email all the way from Connecticut!
I don't know what else we can do as fans except to say Randy we love you and we are doing our very best and no matter what you will always be our favorite.
Interesting Indeed
I find it interesting no doubt that before even giving this one a chance, they'd mention a next single. Why not give this one a chance.
I know Media Base has been slipping but also am wondering then why in the past three weeks the song has actually gone up on the Music Row Magazine Breakout Chart from #57 to #51 to #47 and that is an industry publication. That could change i guess on the next chart but who knows.
I wonder if anyone really does.
All I knowfor sure is we can all just keep supporting Randy and then we can say we did our best.

top 20
Faith in You made GAC top 20 this week YES!!!! #17 let's keep voting to get it to #1
Thanks for the good news
I just finished voting on GAC and CMT's top 20 before loging on to Randy's site. At least all my efforts of voting 5 & 6 times a day on the video sites is having a positive effect, even if my requests via radio is falling on deaf ears. Maybe the video avenue is the only recorse we have . But if we can get it into the top 10 that may force radio to pay it some attention.
more good news
Faith in you was #6 on CMT pure 12 pack. now if radio will catch on.
Need Tickets for ABQ show/Song for Randy
Sounds great! I'd love to go. However, the next best thing would be the May 23rd concert in Albuquerque, NM. I tried buying tickets several times but can't get the site to work. Is there a problem with the site or are they sold out?
Tell Randy that the next time that he's in New Mexico that I have written a gospel song that could very well be a great match for him. I'm an amateur singer/song-writer with no grand dilusions... but this one is a keeper and I've love to see someone like Randy take advantage of it! God bless!
12 pack
Thanks again for the good news of it showing @ #6 on the Pure Country's 12 pack. I don't get that network but vote anyway. As evry postive showing is a plus for Randy . Those that do get it will enjoy seeing it make the list and hopfully climb to that #1 spot. Ditto for those voting on GAC's site who don't get that network. It's all good!
Do you know what night and time CMT airs their top #20?
Just Wondering About Voting
hey, i'm just wondering about voting - i see on the CMT site it reads:
Would you like to help determine the top 20 videos each week? Help Lance figure it
all out by making your voice heard. Vote for your favorite video from the list below,
then watch
Top Twenty Countdown
as we count down the top music videos in the country. Voting opens at 3 p.m. ET
on each Thursday and closes at midnight the following Tuesday. Remember, you can only vote once, so make it count.
And although i know you can vote more than once, the system appears it will let you, are they really counting them or even possibly, if someone votes more than once, throwing them all out. I just wonder. I know some sites now go by IP addresses and where the votes come from. Does anyone know for sure? I'd hate to think i voted more than once a week or several times a day only not to have it count.
I just happened to notice that on the site so myself have been a bit reluctant to be voting every day or even more than once a day.

I never realized how much Randy travels for his fans. I'm going to see him in Tyler Tx June 7th. Before and after he'll be in Nashville it looks like. I'm grateful for his dedication and hard work. GO RANDY!!! cowwoman60

New Randy single!
I just read on CMT's site that "Dig Two Graves" will be the next single. I love this song and I hope it does better on the charts than "Faith In You". I loved "Faith In You" though and I thought it was far better than most the other stuff on the charts.
Here's what is says on CMT:
Travis' set was all too brief -- only five songs. But it sparkled with such irresistibles as "Diggin' Up Bones," "Deeper Than the Holler" and his 1987 Grammy-winner, "Forever and Ever Amen." Hundreds -- maybe thousands -- spontaneously sang along with him on this last tune. Travis also introduced his new single, "Dig Two Graves," from his Warner Bros. album due out July 15.

Single
I read that too. But I am wondering if they meant "Faith In You". I love "Dig Two Graves". It's such a moving peice of writing. Randy does a masterful job bringing home the story as usual. He did sing it last night on the QVC special. So maybe it will be. But they usually follow a balad with an uptempo song. He also sang "Everything I Own ( Has Got A Dent) last night for the first time. Since both are songs that the label has down loaded here on his site, that may be the reason he is able to sing a few of them live. I love them all . I'm equally sure I will love the remaining songs as well.
