Randy made a surprise guest appearance Saturday night on the Grand Ole Opry. He surprised Carrie Underwood after she sang Randy’s “I Told You So”, and invited her to be the Opry’s newest member. Randy and his band followed the invitation with performances of “Forever and Ever, Amen” and “Faith in You”.
If you didn’t catch Opry Live! on GAC last weekend, you can see a video of Randy and Carrie Underwood on GACtv.com.

Enjoyed the Opry Sat night.!!
Opry
I was so happy to see Randy back on the Opry. I had posed a question about the Opry as to why he hasn't been on there in sometime. Lo and behold there he is on the Opry. Looking good and sounding great! Carrie did a remarkable job on Randy's song. She is a beaufiful young lady...it was almost like seeing the boy and girl next door on one stage. I wish them both many more years of success.
Hi Randy
Randy the new song, Faith In You, is great !!! It shows off your voice to a tee. Randy, I don't know if you get to read these or not. If you do get in touch with me. I got some news to tell you about someone who helped you in your past, J.C. Smith. He died Jan.18th 2008. Then his daughter and my wife, Menina, died 2 weeks later on Jan.31st,2008. Just thought you might like to know. Keep up the good work, and remember, all of us from your hometown still support you and are especially proud of your music. Especially the gospel song s you have been doing. Take Care, Mike....alias Frog

I loved it also - it indeed was a nice surprise.
I know GAC has to run their commercials but it was just a shame they cut off Randy's last song "Diggin' Up Bones" butg they always do that. I guess they have to get those commercials in. I'm just glad they at least showed the two songs plus Randy inviting Carrie to become a member on TV.
He sounded great on all three songs.

I Told You So
When Randy said he was going to sing that song tonight, Carrie commented " You should anyway" She is a classy lady. I'm liking her more and more. I often wondered what that song would sound like with a female singing it. I too, thought the message of the songs lyrics sounded more like something a jilted woman would say, more so than a man. I'm glad that Carrie is the one who choose to record it and sing it live. She did a great job on it. Still Randy's version will always hold that special place in my heart...simply because Randy himself does.
