The Power Of Music

Hey friends. Can you imagine a world without music in it. It is so vast, the influence that music has on the world. And there are so many types of music in the world and each has its own message, its own meaning. Music influences the way we think, the way we perceive, the way we act. Many people are what they listen to. Whether its Rock, Country, Hip Hop, Gospel, Jazz...music is very much a part of all our lives. I think the world has been greatly blessed because of the music that Randy has brought to it. And to be honest, its very refreshing to hear someone sing who isn't just a big "fake". I appreciate someone who is "real". I'm a Christian singer/songwriter/recording artist, and I especially love Randy for his Godly conviction to use his gift to glorify God. That's the kind of music that really makes the world a better place.

Music influence

I agree completely! The music of Randy Travis is genuine, because he is genuine. He is a living testimony of what Christ can do to alter ones footsteps if they allow themselves to be a willing vessel.

Randy's talent aside, one of the enduring and endearing qualities of Randy's music is the total conviction and believability that he brings to the story line. Be it a country song like "He Walked On Water" or a gospel smash hit of "Three Wooden Crosses". It's music that you know has happened sometime, to someone, somewhere.
He may not have as many #1 hits as some others have acquired. But what he gives to his fans. in his selections of song is the sincerity of wholesome, timeless music. That to me, is far more rewarding then seeing his name on the top of a music chart for a week or two. Not to say that he, or we ( as fans) don't appreciate those #1 hits when they happen. It's just that I personally prefer quality of content, to that of frivolous fanacy, when it comes to my listening enjoyments. Randy Travis gives me plenty of that....and so much more!
