When I was 14 years old, I gave my heart to Jesus Christ and after a few years of learning about the Lord, I began to see the importance of screening what you see and hear because your eyes and ears are the gateway to the soul. I began to really lay aside a lot of the music I had listened to because the message wasn't a good one. Throughout the last few years, however, I have been very influenced by the music that Randy has recorded, particularly the messages about the Lord and about right living. I have written and recorded a number of Gospel songs and one of my biggest influences is Randy Travis. I am currently working on a new project and I can already hear some of Randy's influence in my own music. I have learned a lot about expressing my own heart in song through Randy's sincere way of expression in his music. The power of that gift has forever influenced the way I write and sing my songs for the Lord.
