Music That's Universal

You know, lots of people aren't into country artists crossing over into the Gospel genre to do a project. I've heard some say, "oh its just them trying to make money in other genres of music by pandering to folks who are religious." But personally, I don't buy into that stereo-typing. Lots of gospel songs have made it over into the country genre and really done well. I believe that God uses His message in other genres as well. For instance, "Three Wooden Crosses" did very well in the country genre. It still touches people's lives. Well, that's a Gospel song. Look...Carrie Underwood with "Jesus take The Wheel". That song really moves me every time I hear it. I really appreciate it when country or any other artists mention God and right living in their songs. Who was it that brought this great nation into the position of greatness we enjoy? God...Have you remembered to thank Him for that? We ought to...

Great post!

First to answer your question...yes, I do, every day !

Some may look at the artist doing gospel music from that perspective. But when an artist such as Randy has put out several gospel albums. Has performed in many churches across the country . Given his testimony at every church appearance. States publicly that he is a Christan. That his desire is to be able to continue to put out both country and gospel albums. Then I have a hard time understanding how anyone would look upon him in that regard. I personally, love the fact that Randy has allowed the gift that God blessed him with, to be used to proclaim God's glory, to all who will open their hearts and their ears to hear it. That also goes for every artist who genuinely serve his purpose.
