I still remember when I first heard Randy's rendition of "Baptism" which was
released some years back on his Gospel CD and was playing on the Gospel
radio stations AND country stations. The way Randy does a song makes you
feel like he's been there and sings it from his heart. There's a depth there that sets an artist apart from so many others. You know you have a good song when folks just don't get tired of it. I am a minister through Gospel music and I do a little speaking and singing at Laurel Co. jail in London, KY and one Monday night recently, the Spirit of the Lord was so powerful in the jail church service. You could just tell that God was speaking to hearts there that night. And do you know, the songs they still request most are, "Three Wooden Crosses", "Baptism", "When Momma Prayed" and such the like. Randy's choice of songs and his awesome God given gift to sing have such a profound influence on so many, and such an awesome influence on the men and women in our jails and prisons; the kind of influence that can change lives for Jesus. My hat's off to you, Randy. We appreciate you sticking with what really matters after all, and that is letting God use your gift to touch and transform lives for God. Keep them good Gospel songs coming, Man! God Bless You...

You are so right
"Baptism" is also one of my favorites. It has been my privilege to baptize many, many people the last 48 years and when living on Maui, Randy was present with us at those baptisms in the Pacific ocean. What a powerful occasion. Randy is the best and the wonderful thing is - he is really "down-to-earth" humble, a genuine friend. He knows that by the grace of God he is where he is.
