Dig two graves

This song would be single of the year if country radio would just play it. I hate knowing that some fat cat program director dictates what I hear on country radio. Over 50% of the music that is played I either mute it or change the station. I can tolerate hearing the fake country and I would be ok with it if only I could still hear Real country mixed in with it. It's a shame that Kidd Rock can release a non country song to country radio and it gets played like crazy but Randy's new music is ignored. Today's so called country music is nothing more than novelty songs with both weak lyrics and weak vocals. And of course drums & rock & roll guitars mixed up right up in your face.

You certainly aren't alone in your frustrations with todays country radio. The supposed country today sounds nothing like the kind of country I grew up listening to, and loving. Artists such as Porter Wagnor, Bill Anderson, George Jones, George Morgan, Faren Young, Hank Snow, Tammy Wynette, Connie Smith, Loretta Lynn, Hank Sr.etc, etc, etc. Your never going to hear those kind of artists on country radio ever again. Because the industry has had a long love affair with erasing the lines of distinction between musical types for the love of the almighty $ ( bigger record sales). They have finally achieved that long obsessed, coveted goal, and they are not about to relinquish it for a smaller market of true country artists and their fans.
We as fans of the genuine country artists like Randy, and their type of music, can continue to support him in the only way left for us, and that is by buying his albums , and attending his shows when possible. Dee

Radio Stations Bias Towards Traditional Country Music

I agree with your comments regarding "Dig Two Graves." I think it is the best song on the new album. And it is a shame that he won't get the same airtime as the more contemporary country artists. I really can only think of one true country artist that still gets played regularly (George Straitt). Of course, it's only his newer releases. I can't remember the last time that I heard "Ace In the Hole" on the radio. He doesn't have near the vocal talent as Randy either. Regardless of airtime, Randy is one of the few living legends of country music.

Dig two Graves - woke Up to It This Morning

As mentioned, our one station is playing it and it hadn't been but five minutes after i woke up this morning and turned on the radio, 995thewolf played it. Woohoo, sure started my day out right.

Thanks Linda for the up date on the Music row Chart. Glad to see it is on one at least. Too good of a song to not be played everywhere. Dee

Dig Two Graves

Dig Two Graves is an awesome song. I hope if keeps moving up the charts. Can't wait to see what they come up with for the video with the pictures us fans sent in.

Pic's for Video,

I can't either Jacquelyn. I only have one picture of myself with Randy and at present it is in one of the plastic containers with all my Randy print material in the storage room in the basement. Finding the container is like looking for a needle in a haystack. My son in law is worse then any woman rearranging the furniture, when it comes to his rearranging the storage rooms contents. Just when you think you have located something , its done been repacked in with something else, or moved before you can get to it. Still, he is a great son in law. The best! Dee
